DescriptionLEASE by Richard lord of Cholmndely [Cholmondeley] and his brother William to Thomas le Wryth of one place of land for building a watermill with a pool in le Clyff in vill of CHOLMNDLEY [Cholmondeley], in which place a mill formerly stood with a pool, with all the appurtenances and with a reasonable supply of water within the demesne of Cholmndley [Cholmondeley], for 39 years from feast of St. Michael the Archangel 2. Hen. V., at rent of 12d. p.a. Witnesses: William le Ayre, William de Broxon, William le Wryth, Robert de Harecowrt, David son of William del Clyff. Given at Cholmndley [Cholmondeley] on the day and year abovesaid. Seals: red, 2, armorial , oval, - Madonna and Child, with an inscription of which part reads 'MARIA', a (?) bit. Parchment. Indented chirograph.
