Description | INQUISITION held at the vill of Cholmeley [Cholmondeley] before William Bothe, knight, then Sheriff of Cheshire, on Monday next after the feast of the Holy Trinity, 38. Hen. VI., by virtue of a Writ by Edward Prince of Wales directed to the Sheriff, and before Richard Mascy del Hogh', John Chann of Whightreston, John Wodsnote of Shavynton [Shavington], John Fyton of Wystaston [Wistaston], Ranulph Wetenhale, David Swanwyk, John Warde of Grafton, Thomas Bulkeley of Broxon, Thomas Huxley, David Dod del Egge, Philip Filkyn, Richard Browe, William Dod of Broxon, John Dod del Egge and Hugh Bulkeley of Broxon, jurors. They found that there was a common way, from time immemorial, for transit of people by horse and foot by a lane from the Vill of CHOLMELEY [Cholmondeley] to a certain of land in CHORLEY called Chorley Green, thence by a lane to a moor called Raynmore, thence by a lane to ACTON Church and thence by the said lane to the vill of WICH MALBANC.
