DescriptionDEMISE By Roger brother of Hugh lord of Chelmndelegh [Cholmondeley] to Hugh's son Kenrick of 1 place of land with a messuage (Boundaries given) in the vill of CHELMNDELEGH [Cholmondeley] with all appurtenances in the vill and in all the groves of CHELMNDELEGH [Cholmondeley] except in the wood of Birchl', for life from Ascension Day A.D. M.CCC. vicesimo decimo [17. May] and for 12 years after the death of said Roger, at rent of 2d. in silver. Witnesses: John de Wrennebury then Sheriff of Cheshire, David de Eggerton, William de Malpas, Robert de Bulkylegh, Robert Ridlegh. David de Beaton - Given at Chelmndelegh [Cholmondeley] on Tuesday in the week of Pentecost A.D. M.CCC. vicesimo decimo. Seal: green, a hawk pouncing on a bird, surrounded by an inscription.
