DescriptionLEASE by Hugh son of Richard de Cholmndelegh to Richard's son William for life, of a messuage and all those renements with appurtenances in CHOLMNDELEGH [Cholmondeley] which John de Sonde held for a term of years, and also all those messuages, Mills, lands and other tenements which William's brother John de Chelmndelegh once held in the same place, at a rent of 12d. p.a. for all services, with sufficient turbary for his capital messuage in CHOLMNDELEGH [Cholmondeley] for life in all the unenclosed mosses of CHOLMNDELEGH [Cholmondeley], and also turbary on the said mosses for life and for service. Witnesses: William de Praers, Robert de Bulkelegh de Alstanton, William de Spurstowe, William de Norbury, William de Hampton. Given at Cholmndelegh [Cholmondeley] on Saturday next after the feast of St. Matthew [Mathei] the Apostle, 22. Edw. III. Seal: green, two birds surrounded by an inscription. Indented chirograph.
