Jan PLEA & TRAVERSE (copy) of Sir William Brereton against the above, by which he claims that Sir William Brereton his father was seised of the whole Barony and 7/8 of the Manor of MALPAS, which descended on his death to the plaintiff as son and heir, and of the advowson of the lower parsonage and the fourth turn of the higher parsonage, and of TILSTON parsonage; and that Sir Randle Brereton held the Manor of SHOCKLACH, a messuage and lands in SHOCKLACH OVYATT, CHURCH SHOCKLACH and WIGLAND, a messuage and lands in EBNALL [Ebnal], a capital messuage called the higher Hall of EDGE and lands in GREAT EDGE, LITTLE EDGE, TILSTON, CARDEN, CHIDLLOWE, OVER & NETHER FULWICH, HAMPTON, BICKERTON, ALDERSEY, WICHHALGE, TUSHINGHAM, MASEFEN, BROXTON and CALCOTT, of the said Sir William Brereton.
