DescriptionLEASE (attested extract), for 21 years, by the King to John Carpenter, gentleman --- parcels of waste ground called HALTON Mosse and RUNCORNE [Runcorn] Mosse, containing 40 acres, adjoining the town or lordship of MORE [Moore], parcel of the Honour of Halton, heretofore used by the inhabitants of Halton and Runcorn for turbary, and since the moss being exhausted and spent, is become firm land; with liberty to enclose and improve the same, at an annual rent of 25/-.
