Description"Inspeximus" of Chancery decree in suit between the Crown and William Clayton, gentleman, re. estates of his father in Henhull, Nantwich, Worleston etc. Letters patent of Queen Elizabeth recording inspeximus of decree in suit in Chancery in Michaelmas 1555, which recorded an inquisition post mortem on William Clayton, esq., held at Nantwich on 1 Sep 1543 before Sir Henry Delves, kt., Hugh Starky and Ralph Maynwaryng, commissioners re. capital messuage and lands etc. in Henhull, messuage, garden and saltpan in Nantwich, and lands in Worleston. Endorsed: Memorandum of enrolment with auditor general of Court of Wards and Liveries 21 Apr 1562. Great seal on tag. Attached: DCH/J 1/2
