[1] Party 1, Emma, daughter of Richard del Bothe, has given, granted and confirmed to party 2 John, son of William of Holfor' [Holford], his heirs and assigns, [2] two bovates of land with appurtenances in the vill of 'Lachebothe', as is covered in the original charter, to be had and held of Emma and her heirs to John and his heirs [3] and assigns in fee and hereditary right with houses and buildings and with all common liberties and easements everywhere pertaining to the said vill of Lachebothe, freely, [4] quietly, well and in peace, so that neither the aforesaid Emma, her heirs, nor anyone else in her name will henceforth ever be able to demand or lay claim to any right or claim on the aforesaid two bovates of land with their appurtenances. [5] Witnesses: Lord Robert le Grosvenor, Lord Richard [6] of Wynyngton [Winnington], John of Leycestr' [Leicester], Robert of Toft, and others. Given at Lachebothe on Sunday after the feast of Saint Barnaby the apostle, in the first [14th] year of the reign of King Richard the Second, after the conquest.
