[1] Party 1, Thomas, son of lord Radulph de Vernunn [Vernon], has granted to Party 2, John of
[2] Wynninton [Winnington], the younger, and Alice his wife, one piece of land in the territory of Lostok’ Gralam [Lostock Gralam], lying in length from
[3] ‘Le Quercover Haystowe, up to the land and borders of the lord Hugh of Venables in Holdene [The Holdings] in the territory of Wytton [Witton], and in width
[4] from the land of Thomas Borst to the new ditch [of party 1], which extends from his marl-pits up to Holdene [The Holdings] with rights
[5] and free access to the king's highway on Ruddeheth' [Rudheath] to the aforesaid. To be held of the chief lord of the fee
[6-7] to the said John and Alice and their heirs, by right and inheritance forever, with all common liberties, easements etc pertaining to the said land and throughout the vill and with
[8-10] housbold and haybold, as other neighbours in the vill have, and with common of all turbaries of the said vill of Lostok' made for burning within the aforesaid land. Rendering thereby annually to the said chief lord fthe customary services
[10-12] Warranty clause.
[13-14] Witnesses: lords Hugh de Dutton, Peter de Dutton, knights, Roger of Leycestr' [Leicester], Adam of Bostok [Bostock], Hugh of Tw', Ralph of Merbur' [Marbury], John of the same place, Hugh of the same place, William Ademet, John the clerk and others.
