[1] Henry of Holford has surrendered and demised to [2] William, son of Ralph of Alkemondlowe, two pieces of land lying in the region of Plumlegh [Plumley] [Alcumlow] [3] one piece of which lies between Plumlegh [Plumley] moor on one side and the land of Alexander the chaplain on the other, and abuts the street which leads [4] to Middlewich, as the boundaries and ditches surrounding it show, and another piece of land lying next to Pynerehee as the encircling boundaries there show. [5] with its appurtenances. To be had and held of the said Henry and his heirs aforesaid to William, his wife [6] and their aforenamed for a term of thirty nine years completed fully, passing to the next term, beginning on Whit Sunday [7] in the year 1330. Rendering annually to Henry and his heirs, of the said William, his wife and [8] their aforenamed, nine silver shillings at two terms of the year, to wit, half at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, and the other half [9] at the feast of St. Martin in Winter, for all secular services and demands. [9] Caveats: If William dies within his term [10] he will give to his lord his second best animal for his term to be saved for his wife and their aforenamed [10-13] [Warranty clause] [14] Witnesses: Robert le Grovenour, Roger de Tost, Hugh de Pykener', Ralph de Parvo overo Little Over, William Fullove, John [Grosvenor] [Pickmere] [Fullone?] [15] the clerk, and many others.
