[1] John Nyghtgale, chaplain, to Henry de [2] Holford all messuages, lands, wastes, demesne lands, parsonages, and other of his tenements with appurtenances in Plumlegh [Plumley] and Holford, all of which tenements [3] he held in the fee as a gift of the said Henry. To be had and held, all the said tenements, together with the demesnes and parsonages aforesaid with appurtenances to the said Henry [4] for his entire life, so that after the death of the said Henry all the aforesaid tenements with their appurtenances, together with the demesnes and parsonages aforesaid to John, son [5] of William de Holford, son of the said Henry and Joanna, daughter of Roger le Bruyn de Stapelford [Stapleford], and the heirs issuing of the bodies of the said John and Joanna [6] shall remain. To be held of the chief lords of that fee by services which pertain to those aforesaid tenements. [7] If John and Joanna die without lawful heirs, all the said lands and tenements with appurtenances, together with demesne lands and parsonages [8] shall remain in full to the rightful heirs of the said Henry. To be held of the chief lords of that fee by services which pertain to those aforesaid tenements forever.
