Members included Major James Cross (Hutchinson & Co), Henry Deacon (Gaskell, Deacon & Co), Thomas Sutton Timmis (Mathieson & Co) and E K Muspratt (James Muspratt & Sons, Wood End Works). Meetings held at the offices of Gaskell, Deacon & Co. Label on front cover records presentation of volume to the United Alkali Co "with other books and papers" on 30 Nov 1891.
