Description	Cheadle county constituency was created in 1949 from parts of the Macclesfield, Knutsford and Bucklow constituencies. It consisted of the civil parishes of Bredbury & Romiley, Cheadle & Gatley, Hazel Grove & Bramhall, and Marple. Following boundary alterations in 1971 Cheadle became a borough constituency consisting of the urban districts of Cheadle and Gatley, and Wilmslow (see CCRg2).
