Description | Bebington borough constituency was created in 1948 out of the Wirral constituency, and consisted of the whole of the borough of Bebington (including the civil pariehss of Brimstage, Bromborough, Eastham, Poulton cum Spital, Raby, Storeton and Thornton Hough), together with the Bebington, Devonshire, Egerton, Mersey and Prenton wards of Birkenhead county borough. In 1971 the Bebington constituency was abolished, and divided between the Bebington and Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead and Wirral constituencies. |
