| Description | 'The Antient deeds of Bulkley and Bickerton, being 20 in number are contained in this box November 8th 1684' Leather-covered box containing 21 deeds, late 13th century - 1439 relating to premises in Bulkeley and Bickerton. The deeds are listed and briefly calendared in Ormerod's History of Cheshire vol II p.649. (A copy of this list is enclosed). Deeds nos. 15 (dated 1318) and 17 (dated 1332) on the list each consist of 2 parts of a bi-partite indenture; deed no.18 (dated 36 Ed III) is now missing.
The last deed (dated 1439) on the list was originally numbered 20.
