DescriptionOn the SEPARATION of William Assheton and Lettice his Wife, between (1) William Assheton of Cuerdale Lodge, Lancs., esq., (2) Lettice Assheton, wife of the said William Assheton, nee Lettice Brooke, (3) Thomas Brooke of Norton Priory, esq., and The Rev. Thomas Blackburne of Thelwall, clerk, LL.D., Warden of the Collegiate Church of Christ, Manchester, Lancs., and (4) Robert Denison of Kilnwick Kilnwick Percy, Yorks., esq ------ the said W. Assheton gives to (3) above three Annuities of £200, £200 and £200, chargeable on all the Manors, messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments with their appurtenances in DOWNHAM and CUERDALE, Lancs., as set out in Indentures of 13 & 14. Nov. 1786 [See DBN/A/9/1] on Trusts for the said Lettice Assheton, and DEMISE for 99 years to said Robert Denison of all the above mentioned properties, etc., to secure the payment of the said Annuities, on Trusts. Seals, red, DBN/A/9/1 a man with scythe standing on a Cap of Maintenance, DBN/A/9/2 - 4, a man's head. Parchment.
