Description1869, 29. Sep. (a) MORTGAGE to secure £1000 and Interest by Sir Richard Brooke of Norton Priory, Bart., to Charles William Potts of Chester, esq. Rowland Nevitt Bennett of 2 New Square, Lincoln's Inn, Middx., esq., and Thomas Davies Colley of Chester, M.D. ----- Messuage or burgage in HALTON formerly called Thomas King's House but now called The Rookery at the lower end of the Town together with all houses, buildings, gardens, orchards and lands thereto belonging, viz: the Yard at the backside of the House, Long Butts, the Short Butts and the Banner Stitch, with the appurtenances. (b) TRANSFER by Charles William Potts, Rowland Nevitt Bennett and Thomas Davies Colley, to Hugh Colley Nevitt Bennett of Chester, esq. and the said Rowland Nevitt Bennett ---- the £1000 secured by the within named Mortgage, all Interest having been paid.
