DescriptionBetween (1) Henry Brooke of Norton, esq., (2) his s. & h. Richard Brooke of Norton, gentleman, (3) Thomas Warburton of Partington and Thomas Chesshire, jun., of Hallwood within Halton, gentlemen, and (4) Richard Legh of Lyme, Thomas Marbury of Marbury, John Arderne of Alvanley, and Edward Hyde of Norbury, esquires ----- the MANOR of NORTON with Stockham alias STOCKCOME with its rights, members and appurtenances, the MANORS or GRANGES with their appurtenances called ASTON GRANGE and ACTON GRANGE, and all Henry Brooke's and or Richard Brooke's MANORS, messuages, lands, tithes, tenements, rents, fishings, view of frankpledge and hereditaments, etc., with their appurtenances in NORTON with STOCKHAM alias STOCKCOME, ASTON GRANGE and ACTON GRANGE, and closes, fields, meadows and pastures with their appurtenances called the New Fields in MOORE now or late in the several tenures of John Peyton, Thomas Earle, Robert Earle, Richard Jackson and divers other tenants in the Townships of NORTON and/or KEWQUICK [Keckwick], as also the MANOR of CUERDLEY, Lancs., with the appurtenances, and also their messuages, lands, tenements, fishings and hereditaments with their appurtenances in CUERDLEY, and also all other the MANORS, messuages, tenements, lands, tithes, rents, services and hereditaments with their appurtenances in LANCASHIRE and CHESHIRE which H. Brooke and/or R. Brooke have any estate and which were heretofore the inheritance of Thomas Brooke of Norton, esq., deceased, (Grandfather of said Henry Brooke) and/or of Sir Richard Brooke of Norton, Knt., deceased (Father of said H. Brooke). COVENANTS by Henry Brooke and Richard Brooke to Levy Fines at the next Assizes for Cheshire and Lancashire, (4) above to be demandants against (2) above. Seals, papered, 5. Parchment.
