M. at Halmote of Manor of Halton, of William Cartwright of Halton, plasterer, deceased, -----(1) parcel of land in HALTON as set out in DBN/D/10/2; (2) parcel of land in HALTON as set out in DBN/D/10/1; (3) 2 several cottages or dwelling houses and buildings erected by him on the two above parcels of land or one of them, with their appurtenances, at rent to the Lord of the Manor of 1¢d. p.a. that William Cartwright devized the same by his Will, undated, to his wife Betty Cartwright, also deceased, that Betty Cartwright his only daughter and heir succeeded to the property, that Betty the said daughter married Thomas Hadfield of Manchester, cotton merchant, and died about 1810, leaving William Hadfield of Mill Brook in the township of [blank], Lancs., cotton spinner, her only son and heir, in whom the properties are now vested.
