Brooke, which "is only brought down to 1823 and then settled by the late Mr. Fletcher". He has never let any land on the Dows except that belonging to Sir R. Brooke nor has he received any rent for land other than Sir R's. land. Mr. F. should have no difficulty in proving his claim by the Court Books at Halton.
