Brooke, together with its lands called the Hampyard, the Barn Meadow, the swine Ridding, the Orchard Field, the marsh Meadow, the two Bryars, the Shutch Croft, the Banks and Clough, the Linage Poole, the acre, the Byroms Bryars, the Heath Meadow, the Fox holes, the Astmore heys and the Cribb, with 1 moss room on HALTON MOSS, in all 29 a. of local measure and of the yearly rent to the Lord of the Manor of £1. 6s. 4d., and also a messuage or burgage and tenement with appurtenances in ASTMORE called John Norths House, and also 1 garden, 1 orchard, the Backside, the two Crofts, the Home Riddings and 1 mossroom on HALTON MOSS, with all appurtenances (in all 4 a. of customary measure), heretofore the inheritance of Mary Chew, spinster, Robert Howarth and Ann his wife, or one of them, and now that of said F. Brooke, and of the yearly rent to the Lord of the Manor of 3/-, and also the capital messuage in HALTON called King's House with all its buildings, yards, gardens, orchards, and closes called the Backside, the Calver Clough alias Calver hey, and the Well Croft, with appurtenances, formerly the inheritance of John King, deceased, afterwards of Richard Kelsall, deceased, and Sarah his wife, since of John Colquitt, esq., and now that of said P. Brooke, and also a messuage in ASTMORE heretofore in tenure of William Oakell and afterwards of Henry Cooper, with all its houses, yards, orchards, gardens, and lands called the Hempyord, the Kiln Croft, the Barn Croft and the Swine Ridding, with the appurtenances, formerly in possession of said William Oakell, since in that of said H. Cooper, and now in that of said P. Brooke, and also a messuage in HALTON called Masons New House with its buildings, orchards and gardens, heretofore in tenure of said John King, afterwards of his son William King and father of said Sarah Kelsall, since of James Dutton and [Jame]s Coppuck or one of them, late of said John Colquitt, but now the inheritance of said P.
