DescriptionCOVENANT to LEVY A FINE by the Rt. Hon. William Lord Petre of Writtle to his brother the Hon. Thomas Petre esq. --- farm or grange called Shopwick Grange in par. of AXMINSTER, Devon, and all messuages houses mills garden lands and common thereto belonging (c. 400 acres in all) in the occupation of John Deaning, the Rodd Meade in the occupation of Robert Leadden excepted and forprized And Also 1 messuage/tenement 1 water grist mill and 1 fulling mill and 8 a. land with the said messuage enjoyed in HIGHER FLEARE in par. of EAST ALLINGTON, Devon, And Also 1 other messuage there and about 150 acres of land late in tenure of Sir George Southcot Knt., deceased, together with the water course head mere and gurge in EAST ALLINGTON purchased by his ancestor Sir William Petre Knt., deceased, of John Cole of BUCKLAND TOUSSAINTS, Devon, esq., deceased, And Also 1 messuage/tenement with all houses gardens etc., and 24 acres land in HIGHER CHURSTON, Devon, and 4 closes of pasture and 1 acre meadow in LOWER CHURSTON called Aswill (c. 13 a.), and 31 acres land and 4 closes of land called Mene Land and Downe-in-Towne in LOWER CHURSTON (30 a.), all late in the occupation of Arthur Gilbert alias Webber, TO THE USE OF William Lord Petre to sell the mess or dwelling house called "Bellair House" in par. of HEAVITREE, together with all gardens and appurtenances (except in regard to timber, etc.) and pay the sum realised to Thomas Petre.
