| Description | LEASE for 3 lives, by David Massy of Broxon [Broxton] esq., to Robert Edge the younger, son of Robert Edge of Larketon, husbandman, of a messuage in LARKETON [Larkton] wherein the said Robert Edge the younger now dwells, and a meadow called Colemans in BICKERTON, for the lives of the said Robert Edge the younger, Rauffe Edge his brother, and Margaret now wife of the said Robert Edge the younger, at an annual rent of 10/- and a chief rent of 1/-; the said Robert is to erect a dwelling house of 2 bays at the least, as well timbered and as large as the now dwelling of John Golborne of Broxon, blacksmith; there is a proviso that neither the said Robert nor any other tenant of the premises shall be retained in service as a hired servant by the year, or as a retainer in livery, with any other person than the said David Massy, without his special licence.
