DescriptionASSIGNMENT by William Cowper of Sound, yeoman, to Thomas Cowper of Bromhall [Bramhall, Broomhall?], tailor --- a parcel of ground called Chesters intacks in SOUND, heretofore in the possession of Elizabeth Chester, widow, and now in the holding of Thomas Powell, a parcel of land called the Six-Crosse-Butts adjoining the same and heretofore lying in a field called the Broome feild, but now divided from the same, parcel of the land belonging to a messuage in SOUND wherein the said William Cowper now inhabits; to hold the said Intacks for lives of the said William Cowper and Fraunces, his daughter, and the said Six-Crosse-Butts for lives of Thomas Cowper and Ellon, his wife, and for the duration of the lease to William Cowper for his own life and the life of Randle Cowper, his brother.
