The original lease of the premises by Sir Thomas Fowlshurst of Crewe Kt. to Thomas Maisterson, father of the said Roger, Margery, his wife, Raphe Wylbrahame and Elizabeth, his wife, for 72 years, at an annual rent of 2/- (18th Dec. 1537), a further lease of 60 years (20th Jan. 1549/50) and an assignment of a moiety of the premises by the said Margery Maisterson, widow, to the said Roger, are recited.
