Description | ASSIGNMENT by Charles Fletcher of Whitchurch, Salop, gentleman, to Hugh Earl of Cholmondeley and Baron of Wich Malbank [Nantwich], of the original Lease of 17. Nov. 6.W.&M. [1694] and of the property mentioned therein [See DCH/A/597 above] in CHORLEY, for 99 years, PROVISO that the said Charles shall indemnify and save harmless the Earl in respect of all costs, losses and damages relating the Rents and Profits of divers Manors, messuages, lands, tenements and hereditaments of the said Earl, received and paid by him as the Earl's Steward but for which amounts he has not produced any receipts or proper vouchers, for the period of ten years next ensuing. The Schedule of amounts mentioned in the Deed is endorsed thereon. It covers the period 19. Nov. 1692 to 29. Jan. 1698/9 and contains 84 items amounting to total of £3805 4. 4d.
