DescriptionLEASE for 24 years by Richard Bromley of Basford and his s. & h. Robert Bromley, to Richard Bebynton and Humfrey Wilson, son of Richard Wilson, of a mease and all the lands and tenements to it belonging (Except two crofts called Cubcrofts) in CHORLEY, now in occupation of R. Bebynton and his wife Isabell for term of Isabell's life, with effect from the death of said Isabell, at rent of 45/- p.a. Cons: 7 marks. Given 8. Mar. 19. H. VIII. Seals: (1) Dark green, small fragment, illegible. (2) missing. Endorsements:- (Written by Hugh Cholmondeley).(a) Memorandum that Isabell Bebynton mother to said Humfrey Wilson died 9. Apr. 1538. (b) Memorandum that on 9. Apr. 1579 there are 3 more years to come in this Lease. (c) Memorandum that Humfrey shall pay annually for the term of 24 years within specified 2/- extra for the 2 crofts called Cubcrofts, never before rented, also that Humffrey had paid at his mother's (Isabell Bebynton's) death the sum of 13/4 to his landlord John Bromley according to the within Covenant.
