DescriptionEXCHANGE between (1) Robert de Chelmundelegh and (2) Roger de Bromlegh and Leticia his wife, whereby (1) grants to (2) one messuage and all the lands which William Thrusshe held, and 2 places of land called Le Blonneresfeld and Le Mulnefeld containing 13 acres, and 2 other places of land called le Mucheldoggeford and le Lackedoggeford with adjacent moor and containing 8 acres, and all his share in 1 field which Robert de Halle once held containing 8 acres, and 1 bovate of land once held by the same Robert de H., all in the vill of Barkesford [Basford] with appurtenances, IN EXCHANGE for which (2) grant to (1) lands in CHORLEGH [Chorley], viz., 6 acres in a place called le Stubbes pitt, 6 a. in a field called Lumbardesfeld and 5 a. in a field called Houaesfeld de Larketon within Swetemonesfeld, and ¢ acre and ¢ a quarter acre in a place called Netlewode, and a small place of land in the inclosure (heya) of CHORLEGH next to Le loongerudyng. Witnesses: Laurence de Dutton knt. then sheriff of Cheshire, William de Praers, William de Bromlegh, Hugh de Chelmundelegh, and John de Brescy. Given at Barkesford on Sunday next after feast of Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, A.D. millesimo Tricentesimo Septuagesimo. Seal: (1) natural wax, armorial, with inscription around, (2) missing.
