Description | DEFEASANCE by Thomas the Venables of Comburbach [Comberbach] to Thomas Torfot, son and heir of Randle Torfot of Frodenham, reciting the above grant (no. DCH/F/129), but stating that the said Thomas the Menables agrees that if the said Thomas Torfot brings within 20 days of these presents 2 sufficient persons dwelling in the town of Frodsham to be bound to the said Thomas the Venables by a sufficient obligation of £4 to be paid at the feast of St. Michael next coming, that said Thomas Torfot shall paywithin a twelvemonth to the said Thomas the Venables 5½ marks, then it shall be lawful for the said Thomas Torfot to enter into all the said messuages, lands etc: again.
