Description | DEED OF SETTLEMENT by Sir John Savage of Clifton Kt. to Roger Manners, Richard Buckley, Rauff Ardarn, Esq.s, Thomas Savage, Thomas Ardarn and Henrye Harper, gentlemen -- his estate, interest and term of years in the Manor, Castle, Town and Lordship of FRADSHAM [Frodsham] and in the Parks of HAWLTON [Halton] and MACLESFIELD [Macclesfield]; in trust to employ the rents, revenues etc: of the said premises for the preferment in marriage of the four daughters of the said Sir John, viz. Elizabeth, Elynor, Mary and Frances, by levying the several sums of 1,200 marks apiece, and in trust to permit John Savage, son and heir of the said Sir John Savage, if he is 21 at the time of Sir John's death, or as soon as he attains that age, to occupy and enjoy the said premises, at the rent of £50 for the Manor etc: of FRADSHAM, £20 for the Parck of HAWLTON and £70 for the Parck of MACLES to the persons appointed by the will of the said Sir Savage, and in trust after the levying of the said several sums of 1,200 marks, to convey the said premises to John Savage; and GRANT by the said Sir John Savage of all his moveable goods and chattels to his said trustees, to the use of the said John Savage, and in default of male issue of the said John Savage, then to Edward Savage his 2nd son, and in default of male issue, to all his 4 daughters.
