DescriptionGRANT by Margery daughter of Randle le Mercer of Frodesham [Frodsham] formerly wife of Hamon le Mercer of Newcastle to Master Robert de Frodesham, of the moieties of 2 burgages and the moiety of one acre of land with appurtenances in the township of FRODESHAM [Frodsham], of which burgages the moiety of 1 burgage lies in le kirkestrete between the burgage of Matilda Gamyl and a moiety of the burgage of Nicholas son of Randle the clerk, and the other moiety of the other burgage lies in le kirkestrete between the burgage of Richard Sparc and the moiety of the burgage of Richard Kyde, and the moiety of the said acre of land lies in the fields of FRODESHAM in le schortefurlong between the land of John son of Walter and the land of Thomas son of Dike, which descended to her in name of inheritance of her father and which she afterwards recovered in full county court of Chester as her right, viz. a moiety of one burgage against Matilda Gamyl and Roger and William her sons, a moiety of the other burgage against Richard Kyde and a moiety of the acre of land against Roger son of Elias, in the time of William Trussel then justiciar of Chester, 33 Edward I (1304-5), at annual rents for 1 half burgage 1d. in silver at the feast of St. Laurence to Randle the clerk of Frodsham and for the other half burgage the services due and accustomed to the capital lord. Cons. 40/- in silver.
