Description | LETTERS PATENT: GRANT by Edward Prince of Aquitaine and Wales, Duke of Cornwall and Earl of Chester, to Henry Torfote, of a burgage with appurtenances in FRODESHAM [Frodsham] lying in breadth between the burgage of William son of William de Weston and the burgage of Stephen son of Richard and in length between the high road and the burgage of Thomas Gamel, which said burgage came into the hands of the said Prince by way of escheat after the death without heirs of Henry bastard son of Margery de Lystaneshurst, for 26/8, and grant of 5 acres of waste and 3 parts of 1 acre of waste lately enclosed in a place called Whabbemor with appurtenances in FRODESHAM, whereof 3 acres and 3 parts of 1 acre lie in length between le morewalle and le meredyche and in breadth between 2 pieces of waste which Thomas de Frodesham holds of the said Prince on both sides, and 2 acres lie in length between a new assart which formerly belonged to Robert de Frodesham and le yowcroftesdyche and in breadth between a place called shyresmedewe and a certain other piece of waste which the said Thomas de Frodesham holds of the said Prince in Whabbemor, with free right of ingress and egress by the way which leads from the cross next to the chapel in the township of Frodesham to Whabbemor, at an annual rent of 8/7½.
