Tarforth Heys, ½ acre of meadow in Overhey Meadow in FRODSHAM, ½ acre in the Cole Meadow and 3 cowgates in the Lordship Marsh, all heretofore in possession of Richard Smith, late of Edward Cook of Overton and now/late in tenure of the lessee, John Lamb of Boughton, yeoman, and William Knowles of Overton, shoemaker; to hold from death of Elizabeth Smith, now wife of Edward James of Carters Green (Co. Essex), only surviving life in a former lease to sd. Richard Smith (26. Feb. 1661/2), for lives of Samuel Gartside son of James Gartside the younger, late of Crowton, deceased, aged 18, and Mary Prichley daughter of the lessee aged 4, at annual rent of 12/1½, 1 rent hen or 6d. and heriot of best beast or good or 40/-.
