DescriptionBRIEF on behalf of the Marquis of Cholmondeley to oppose the London and North Western Railway (Liverpool Lines) Bill; points out that the construction of a Railway Bridge at RUNCORN will interfere seriously with the working of the Ferry, and that the Bill will interfere with other property and rights of the sd. Marquis; proposes that the Company should purchase and abolish the Ferry and undertake to make the proposed Bridge available for the same purposes; suggests that the Company might give the Marquis and his lessees the benefit of the Tolls and discusses alternative methods of compensation.
