DescriptionLEASE for 3 lives by Hon. James Cholmondeley of Rocksavage [Rock Savage] Esq. to William Cawley of Winnick (Co. Lanc.), saddler, reciting that whereas the said William Cawley has purchased a close of land in RUNCORNE [Runcorn] called the Intack lately held by lease with the Beswick Cottage in Runcorne, (wherein Sarah Beswick, late wife of Thomas Beswick of Runcorn, deceased, is the only life in the said lease in being), and whereas the said William Cawley has agreed to take a new lease of the said close and to add 2 lives to the said Sarah Beswick, now the said James Cholmondeley leases to the said William Cawley --- all that close in RUNCORNE called the Intack, lately belonging to Beswicks Cottage, now in the holding of the said William Cawley; for lives of the said Sarah Beswick, James Cawley, aged 33, and William Cawley, aged 25, sons of the said William Cawley, at an annual rent of 1/0½ and a heriot of the best beast or good.
