George James Earl Cholmondeley to Mathew Alcock of Runcorne [Runcorn], yeoman -- a messuage with appurtenances in RUNCORNE, now in the tenure of the said Mathew Alcock, with a small close or parcel of land lately belonging to James Ackerley Tenement in RUNCORNE aforesaid, containing ¾ acre, and ½ acre of land in the Great Field in RUNCORNE called the higher Hurst, now occupied with the said messuage; for lives of Mary Alcock now Shuell aged 39, daughter of the lessee, Jane Orred aged 10 and John Orred aged 2, grand-children of the lessee, at an annual rent of 11/8 and a heriot of the best beast or good or £3-6-8.
