DescriptionDEED OF EXCHANGE whereby Sir Roger de Chedle Kt. grants to William de Lacheforth of Clifton, a messuage, curtilage and croft which Adam le potter formerly held in the township of CLIFTON with a piece of land lying in Witefeld next to the croft (boundaries) in exchange for a messuage and curtilage which the said William formerly held in the township of CLIFTON, 1 piece of land lying in the middle of the marsh, another piece in le Homormor next to the lord's meadow, 2 selions within the smalbrokes, 1 piece of land in the wood between the land of Robert de Wode and the land of Alan Bercarus, 3 selions of land in the wood between the land of Robert de Wode and Robert de Legh, and 2 selions in the wood between the land of Robert de Legh and Alan Bercarus; at an annual rent to the said Sir Roger of 4/4 and five sixths.
