DescriptionTitled "John Byram's Madeley Manor, Staffordshire, 1831", but almost all contents relate to his farm in Overpool from 1839. The accounts are entered under headings, of which the principal is for production and sale of cheese, for which annual figures and names of purchasers are given. The volume also includes miscellaneous memoranda, recipes, Liverpool dock bonds purchased, and has been used by others, possibly his wife and children, to record genealogical notes relating to the families of Byram, Trelfa, Moreton, Hewit, Sheen, Platt, Williams, Bolshaw, Hurst, Bourne, 1386-1900, and to insert newspaper and other cuttings. Most entries are before 1907, latest date noted 1939.
