Administrative History	The Brewery company was established in 1898 as the Shropshire Brewery Company Ltd to take over the business of William Hall and Co. Later in the same year it changed its name to the Shrewsbury and Wem Brewery Company Ltd. It was acquired by Greenall Whitley in 1951
