DescriptionIndenture between Samuel Scholey of Nicholas Lane in the city of London, esq., the Rev. Clement Crutwell late of the city of Bath but now of [blank] co. Berks., clerk, surviving devisees in trust named in the last Will of the Rev. Thomas Wilson late of the city of Bath, D.D., deceased, of the 1st part, Thomas Wilson late of Bank co. Lanc. esq., but now of Wooton Lodge co. Stafford, esq. (lately called Thomas Patten the younger, devisee for life under the Will of the said Thomas Wilson) of the 2nd part, the Rev. Wilson Macklin of the city of Dublin, clerk, Gerrard Macklin of Dublin, surgeon, Thomas Macklin of Dublin, gentleman, and Ralph Macklin an ensign in the Pyrene Regiment of Militia in the Kingdom of Ireland (which said Wilson Macklin, Gerrard, Thomas and Ralph, and Elizabeth Macklin, deceased, are the only children of the Rev. Gerrard Macklin late of Dublin, clerk, deceased, and legatees under the Will of the said Thomas Wilson) of the 3rd part, and Anna Maria Bold of Bold co. Lanc., spinster, of the 4th part. Reciting the last Will of the said Thomas Wilson, D.D., and tha testator died on or about 15 April 1784, leaving Wilson Macklin his heir at law, and that Thomas Macklin the elder and Mary Roberts Macklin are respectively dead without issue; and that Thomas Wilson in the said Will called Thomas Patten the younger is now in possession of the said estates. That Thomas Patten the elder has no younger son besides the said Thomas Wilson, party hereto, but has daughters, to wit., Anna Maria Patten and Lettice Patten, his two eldest daughters who are unmarried, and Dorothea wife of William Davidson a Lieutenant in the Army at Madras, who has a son named William. Counterpart mortgage of the premises specified in Nos. DRO 13/114 & DRO 13/115, and also of the manor or lordship of Landshorn otherwise Landican in the parish of Woodchurch, and messuages, lands etc. in Knoctorum, parish of Woodchurch, to Anna Maria Bold, for £4,239 4s. 10d. to discharge the legacy of £4,000, with interest, left to the children of the Rev. Gerard Macklin. [See No. DRO 13/128]
