Administrative History | The Spiritual Aid Society was formed in 1896 to make grants to help provide 'Additional Clergy and Lay Helpers for necessitous Districts of the Diocese'. Its funds were held by the Diocesan Finance Association. Minutes for 1939-1958 are in the War Emergency Committee volume (EDM 31), and for Dec 1958 in the Press and Publications Committee volume (EDM 37). From 1959 its funds, together with the Benefices Augmentation Fund and the Stipends Fund were administered by the Board of Finance Stipends Committee. |
