| Administrative History | It appears that there was a Macclesfield District in the late 19th century. By 1933, Macclesfield was part of Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield District, called simply Stoke-on-Trent District from 1954. Chester and Warrington District was in existence from at least 1932. In re-organisation in 1957, Chester and Stoke District was established. |
