Administrative HistoryThe New Delivery Vehicles and Environment Overview and Scrutiny committee has all relevant overview and scrutiny powers under Section 21 of the Local Government Act 2000, and fulfils the functions as far as they relate to performance management, policy development and review.

Particular regard is paid, but not restricted, to environmental matters; housing; planning; economic development; regeneration; rural affairs; and the Council’s alternative service delivery vehicles known as ANSA and ORBITAS. In addition the Committee has specific responsibility for the scrutiny of flood risk management.

The New Delivery Vehicles and Environment Overview and Scrutiny committee became the Environment Overview and Scrutiny committee in June 2015 and the Environment overview and scrutiny committee was decommissioned on 31 Dec 2016.
