Administrative History	Opened in 1841 as a chapel to Stockport St. Mary. In 1843 it became a parish church serving Dukinfield. For later records see also the parishes of Dukinfield St. Luke, Dukinfield St. Mark, Stalybridge Christ Church and Stalybridge Holy Trinity.
