Administrative History	Opened in 1866 as a chapel to Altrincham St. George. In 1867 it became a parish church serving parts of Altrincham, Dunham Massey and Hale [nr. Altrincham]. For later records, see also Hale St. Peter parish. St. Elizabeth's Mission Church, in Islington Street was erected in 1890 and was served from St John's church.
