| Administrative History | An ancient parish church, originally serving parts of the city of Chester and the township of Hoole. Between 1973 and 2005 it was part of a unified parish for the city of Chester, and between 2005 and 2012 it formed a united parish with Chester St. Peter. St. Barnabas' Mission Room opened in 1877 and closed in 1987. For later records, see also the parishes of Chester Christ Church, Chester St. Paul and Hoole. |
