Administrative History	A parish council for Great Saughall, consisting of 9 councillors, was established in 1895. In 1948 the parish merged with Little Saughall, and renamed to become Saughall Parish Council. In 1973 it was extended to cover the parish of Shotwick Park, as Saughall and Shotwick Park Parish Council
