Administrative History	Sandbach Senior Council School was built in Crewe Road in 1912. It was closed in 1960 when the secondary school in Middlewich Road was opened. The Wesleyan school in Chapel Street provided schooling for older pupils after the 1902 Education Act until 1912. In 1979 the school was reorganised as a girls' comprehensive. No boys were received from 1985. See SL452
