Description | A Boating and Baths Committee was established by the Council in November 1886 and was responsible for the opening of the public baths in Union Street in 1901. In November 1902, the name of the committee was changed to Markets and Baths Committee. In June 1968, the committee was absorbed by the Public Services and Recreation Committee. The records comprise minute books; papers relating to market rights in Chester; and a report of the inspector of weights and measures, 1936-37. |
