Administrative History | Purchased from John Douglas in 1900. This land comprised part of the site where properties at the north east corner of St. Werburgh Street formerly stood. John Douglas bought the properties in 1896 and built the present St. Oswalds chamber on the site, as part of his larger development of St. Werburgh Street see 62C. The residue of land not used for the building of St. Oswalds Chambers was purchased by the Corporation for street widening |
